My name is Silvia De La Rosa, and I founded The Velvet Rose Cleaning Service with nothing but two kids, a deep sense of responsibility, and the determination to never give up.
I came to the United States from Mexico in 1999. I didn't have connections, I didn't speak the language, and I had a 3-year-old and a newborn depending on me. Someone gave me the opportunity to clean their home, and I treated that space like it was my own. That one opportunity became the foundation of everything I have built since.
Over the years I learned English one word at a time, grew my client list one home at a time, and raised two sons I am incredibly proud of. Today, those same sons work alongside me — my older son helps run The Velvet Rose, and together we bring that same original commitment to every single job we take.
We are a family business in the truest sense.
